Direct flights from Los Angeles to Manila are coming soon. Delta Air Lines is launching its first-ever nonstop flights between Los Angeles and the capital of the Philippines with the first planes taking off next spring.
On Friday, Delta announced new three-times weekly flights between LAX and Manila beginning March 28, 2027. Delta plans to expand those flights to daily by June 2027.
The nonstop flights between the two destinations will be the first by a U.S. carrier, Delta officials said. The airline will utilize Airbus A350-900 aircraft which feature four separate cabin options, all of which will offer on-board free Wi-Fi, seatback entertainment and “thoughtfully designed amenities.”
Passengers who splurged for Delta One—the airline’s first class equivalent—will have access to elevated dining options and “flat-bed seating,” which reclines to 180 degrees and comes with provided “luxury bedding.”

Delta One passengers also receive special check-in and security security service, as well as access to Delta’s two lounges, including the newly opened lounge located at Terminal 2 of LAX.
The new flights between Manila and Los Angeles is part of Delta’s growing footprint at California’s busiest airport.
In the past year, Delta has restored or added new service to Chicago, Melbourne, and Hong Kong and Shanghai. The airline has also announced upcoming service to Vancouver, Canada and Newark, New Jersey, while also making a massive expansion to cities across Florida.
“Customers traveling through Los Angeles continue to benefit from Delta’s investments in LAX, including an expanding Asia-Pacific network and the opening of our second Delta One Lounge,” said Jeff Arinder, Delta’s Vice President of Network Planning. “The addition of Manila builds on the world-class travel experience our customers have come to expect from Delta while strengthening our position as LAX’s leading global carrier and premier West Coast hub.”
In total, Delta currently operates more than 160 peak-day departures to more than 50 locations out of LAX, officials said.
Delta says it is making big investments into Los Angeles and LAX to meet demand ahead of the 2028 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, which is being held in the City of Angels. Earlier this week, LA28, the official organizing committee tasked with planning the Summer Games, celebrated the official two-year mark from the start of the games.
But Delta and LAX officials say the city is also a strategic portal to high-demand corners of the globe, including Asia and Oceania.
“As a primary gateway to the Pacific, LAX is proud to welcome Delta’s new nonstop service to Manila,” said Los Angeles World Airports Chief Operations Officer Doug Webster. “This daily service gives our guests another direct link to family and culture in the Philippines and reflects the strength of our partnership with Delta in delivering world-class service to one of Southern California’s most deeply connected international markets.”
Delta also has a standing partnership with Korean Air, which provides current connections in Manila, meaning travelers will have more connecting options in Asia.

The Capital of Philippines is one of the most culturally and economically important cities in Southeast Asia, attracting millions of travelers, tourists and explorers every year.
It’s known for its rich history and diverse cuisine with world famous dishes including chicken adobo, lumpia and sinigang soup.

“From the centuries-old walls of Intramuros to a thriving culinary scene and modern business districts, Manila offers a dynamic introduction to the Philippines,” Delta officials write in the official route announcement.
The city of Manila itself is an important international gateway to other parts of Asia, and Delta officials said service between the Philippines and Southern California is one of the fastest growing markets in the travel industry.
